The Art and Science of WholeSelf Health.
A truly integrated approach to health and wellness involves not only scientific knowledge of the body and its sytems but also the art of intuition. Bod*ecology is a whole system approach to wellness that combines art and science and is grounded in the premise that all systems are inter-related. What happens internally is directly affected by our external environment and relationships and what happens externally is directly affected by how well our internal systems are functioning.
The Bod*ecology approach to health and wellness begins with an individualized focus in three specific areas; movement, thoughts and food. These three basics are the foundation for internal physical, mental/emotional and spiritual well-being. How you think and feel about yourself, your relationships, your community, the unconscious beliefs that you carry about the world and how you choose to nourish yourself all affect your body's biochemistry, which in turn directly effects your quality of living.
How, when, why and what you eat, move and think become the basis of your wellness platform. Movement is also critical for health and wellness, not simply exercise but any kind of movement. Movement that involves full range of motion and soft impact has a direct effect on how you assimilate nutrients as well as your mental and emotional wellness. Your thoughts and beliefs generate energy and stimulate biological processes. Energy creates form. Your thoughts and beliefs have power, how are you using them to shape your WholeSelf Health? A Bod*ecology approach delves into all of these areas so that you can begin to tap into your most vital wellness.
